With a big personality and even bigger listings, Gary DePersia has the insider’s scoop on living a Hamptons lifestyle to the fullest.
The entry at 379 Ocean Road in Bridgehampton. The spacious, private estate includes a 60-foot pool and tennis court, for $16.95 million.
During a meteoric 20-year career, the Corcoran Group’s Gary DePersia has helped trade a remarkable $1.5 billion in East End real estate.
Notable current listings: “I have a property in Quogue on the ocean with expansive lawns, a pool, a tennis court, and a dock across the street… priced at $24.95 million. If this house were on Meadow Lane, it would easily be $60 million.”
Charity involvement: DePersia is involved with Light It Up Blue (in partnership with Autism Speaks) and Aspen Cares, benefiting mental health and suicide prevention. “I’m on the board of the Hamptons Designer Show House, which benefits Southampton Hospital.”
Big deal: A rambling estate at 379 Ocean Road in Bridgehampton. “The house abuts a private nine-hole golf course, and it has a nursery behind it, so you have a lot of privacy. It has a 60-foot pool and a tennis court; it has been reduced to $16.95 million.”
After work: “Windsurfing is what originally brought me to the Hamptons. My favorite spots are Napeague, Amagansett, and Noyack Bay. And I was just in St. Barth’s on the Corcoran trip for their top producers. I’ll windsurf anywhere where there is wind and water.”
Power spots: “Nick & Toni’s, Pierre’s, Bobby Van’s, Sen, Tutto il Giorno, and The American Hotel—I’m a good restaurant customer, because I don’t cook a lot.” Corcoran Group Real Estate, 51 Main St., East Hampton, 899-0215
