Exercise guru, Hamptonite, and creator of her eponymous dance-inspired method, Tracy Anderson shares her perfect day.
My morning starts with a family snuggle in my oldest son Sam’s bed with my youngest child, Penny, after she wakes up. At 9:30 a.m., I lead and film a workout starting with one hour of muscular structure followed by an hour of dance cardio at my Water Mill studio (903 Montauk Hwy., Water Mill, 604-6529), my favorite place in the world to teach.
Upon finishing, my team uploads the video content onto my streaming platform so that I can share this class with more people than could ever fit in my studio. I then go home to pick up my two kids and drive to Amagansett to grab carry-out from Hampton Chutney (6 Amagansett Sq., Amagansett, 267-3131). We enjoy eating this oceanside in our swimsuits at Amagansett Beach.
After a few hours building sand castles with Penny and swimming in the ocean with Sam, we head back to Sag Harbor, stopping first at BuddhaBerry (125 Main St., Sag Harbor, 808-3888) for an afternoon frozen yogurt pick-me-up and then to Sag Harbor Bay for some paddle boarding and canoing. I end the day with a delicious dinner at Dopo La Spiaggia (6 Bay St., Sag Harbor, 725-7009) while enjoying the company of some close friends and the view of the boats and the water.
