Designer Rebecca Taylor debuts her new La Vie casual collection with a pop-up at Gurney's.
A look from the designer’s new La Vie Collection.
If you’re craving a little bit of Paris this summer (without having to leave the Hamptons, of course), look no further than Gurney’s. During the weekend of August 25 through 28, designer Rebecca Taylor will officially launch her new La Vie Collection in its entirety at the resort. Inspired by the relaxed elegance of Parisian women, La Vie is a casual collection distinct from the romantic and feminine styles that Taylor has become known for. Yet elements of her signature designs can be seen in this line, such as delicate embroidery, florals, and textures. Highlights of the La Vie Collection include washed twill jackets and pants, laser-cut cotton separates, and ruffle-trimmed blouses in soft colors and fabrics. Also available are denim styles, such as high-waisted, relaxed vintage, and a simple straight leg in six different washes. Taylor’s husband, illustrator Wayne Pate, has also contributed his talents to an exclusive blush La Vie T-shirt. Available at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa, 290 Old Montauk Hwy., Montauk, 668-2345
