The European- and North African-raised jewelry designer Michal Kadar launched her white-diamond-and-yellow-gold collection Cadar in New York City in 2014, after successfully helming a fashion boutique in Tel Aviv. Now, she’s opened a new flagship studio and gallery on NYC’s Madison Avenue.

“The showroom will provide a welcoming and comfortable environment to host retailers, stylists, and clients for private appointments,” says Kadar. “The aesthetic is a modern interpretation of Art Deco, influenced by the architecture of the Fuller Building [where the boutique is located].”

At the shop, look for Kadar’s two newest collections, Reflections and Endless. “The central motif in Endless is a heart and a pair of wings, and Reflections is a contemporary take on the eye,” she explains. “Each collection tells a story, and each story has three chapters. The first collection—Light, Water, and Bloom—is an homage to nature. The most recent collection, a work in progress, comprises two out of three planned chapters. They are a meditation on parts of the body that are imbued with great meaning across cultures.”

Cadar was also recently picked up by Bergdorf Goodman as the first exclusive retailer for the brand. “Bergdorf Goodman has always inspired me, both as a designer and as a consumer,” says Kadar. “They were the first retailer to recognize the uniqueness of Cadar, and being selected to debut the full collection in the jewelry salon is a tremendous honor.” Bergdorf Goodman, 754 Fifth Ave., NYC, 212-753-7300; by appointment, 595 Madison Ave., Fifth Fl., NYC, 212-663-3456
