Perhaps this summer's best celebrity sighting was Lady Gaga shopping and chatting with Blue & Cream’s buff Jeff Goldstein in East Hampton.
But this past weekend's starriest event was Jill Zarin's Luxury Ladies Luncheon at her new Southampton home. According to Zarin, the party started early: she had a “slumber party with Millionaire Matchmaker's Patti Stanger on Friday night. “Jill ordered New York pizza from town,” said Stanger.
The next afternoon, over brunch at chez Zarin, Dina Lohan said that she was in a good place, “My kids are all happy and healthy. That’s how I roll.” Also spotted at the event was a slenderized Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Christie Brinkley, Taylor Dayne, and Aviva Drescher, wearing a vintage dress she "paid $50 for."
Also on Saturday, Lori Levine showed her Comes With Baggage line (vintage purses with adorable custom art) at Blue & Cream in East Hampton. FYI, Full House and 90210’s Laurie Laughlin also hit Blue & Cream this week.
Sunday, June 7, Happy Gilmore actor Christopher McDonald tried Social Bar & Grill, as did Mad Men's Rich Sommer (Harry Crane) at another table.
Monday, July 8, Alec Baldwin enjoyed pasta in the front room at Nick and Toni’s while Nathan Lane chowed down with a friend in the back.
Tuesday, July 9, Mariska Hargitay and family convened at Sotto Sopra in Amagansett. Food Network Star Giada de Laurentiis, dressed in a casual blue dress and white hat, ordered fish and lobster tacos at Bostwick’s Chowder House. And at Nick and Toni’s, L.A. Reid celebrated his birthday with family while 30 Rock actress Jane Krakowski commandeered yet another table.
Thursday, July 11, Naomi Watts was spotted dining with two gal pals and three kids outside at Bostwick’s. Watts had broiled flounder and a glass of white wine while the rest of the table ordered calamari, oysters on the half shell, tacos, corn on the cob, and fish and chips.
Same night, Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw, and Nick Pileggi visited Nick and Toni’s, munching on zucchini chips and whole fish near Lorne Michaels' two-top.
Friday, July 12, Barbara Walters shopped at Christopher Fischer in Southampton, snapping up three Magnolia scarves as gifts for friends. Also Friday, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick and a friend dined outdoors at Nick and Toni’s. Alec Baldwin and HilariaThomas ate on the porch. Inside, Dr. Oz kept it heart-friendly with a watermelon salad and whole fish.
Saturday, July 13, a casually dressed Katie Couric hosted a ladies lunch for seven at Bostwick’s Chowder House. And before hosting Taste of Two Forks, Bobby Flay had an early dinner at Bostwick’s with fellow Iron Chef Michael Symons. The iron stomachs ordered belly clams, steamers, whole lobster, New England chowder, and soft serve ice cream.
Also Saturday, Sir Paul McCartney and wife Nancy Shevell had dinner with Nancy’s children at Nick and Toni’s—all you need is love!
And on Sunday, July 14, a not so rowdy Candice Bergen and husband Marshall Rose dined on simple salads and burgers at Rowdy Hall.
