These five drinks from Hamptons' hot spots not only taste good, but will make you smile when placing your order.
Yo ho! This bright drink is made with every pirate’s favorite liquor—Santa Teresa dark rum. The sweet stuff is paired with brown sugar and Indi orange tonic, and topped with bitters. A pirate’s life, indeed. 90 Second House Road, Montauk, 668-2105
A modern twist on a classic, the Grapes of Vincenzo cocktail is a version of the classic Grapes of Enzoni. Nick and Toni’s use the traditional titos, campari, and lemon, but swap the red grapes with green. That, and an orange wheel, creates a sour and sweet concoction that is an original to this spot. 136 N. Main St., East Hampton, 324-3550
Asking for this cocktail at the bar will surely garner some looks your way. Kristina Davis, co-owner of Navy Beach, named the Hot Skinny Wench after a trip to Laguna where she tried a spicy skinny margarita and was inspired to create a bolder version of it. Made with silver tequila, agave, jalapeño, and citrus, this drink surely packs a punch in more ways than one. 16 Navy Road, Montauk, 668-6868
Inspired by the classic show The Beverly Hillbillies and one of the character’s homemade flu medication, this libation blends Dutch’s Spirits Sugar Wash Moonshine with Cointreau, Bittermens Hellfire shrub, fresh lemon, and honey syrup that may just have you down for the count. 3593 Montauk Hwy., Sagaponack, 537-2271
This signature mix from the Southampton Social Club will have guests up and mingling. Don Julio tequila is infused with jalapeños and balanced with watermelon, creating a potent dose of liquid courage. 256 Elm St., Southampton, 287-1400
