Designer Véronique Leroy teams up again with Eres for the brand’s first-ever cruise collection.
Eres teamed up with Véronique Leroy for its first cruise collection, featuring graphic pieces like this Roy swimsuit in Vitamine ($580).
France’s favorite swimwear and lingerie brand, Eres, has enjoyed past collaborations with the French womenswear designer Véronique Leroy. Now, the latest partnership—the brand’s first-ever cruise collection—finds inspiration in the bold, graphic lines of contemporary art and vintage beach photographs. “I wanted to create efficient pieces that are easy to slip on and wear along the day,” says Leroy. “My first memories of Eres are linked with the singular colors I’d discover each season as I passed by the shop windows of the Place de la Madeleine boutique.”
In the debut cruise collection, strong, saturated color tempered by neutrals is an Eres signature that Leroy has carried throughout; there’s also a unifying braided element—a standout feature on a T-back one-piece, as well as a halter triangle top. Other covetable items include a towel, terry-cloth wrap skirt, après-swim silk jumpsuit, and a convertible one-to-two-piece, complete with a high-waisted bottom and bandeau top.
The pieces are very much in line with Eres’s personality; the lack of boning or padding brings about what the brand refers to as “the art of the body.” “Sculpted” by luxurious, indulgent swim fabrics only, Eres suits are known to make the wearer feel elegant and understated, with this collection being no exception. 55 Main St., East Hampton, 604-5544
