Hamptons magazine fêted cover star Georgina Bloomberg at a tony house on Hill Street in Southampton listed by Million Dollar Listing New York’s Ryan Serhant and Douglas Elliman’s Matthew Breitenbach. At the soiree, Bloomberg spoke about recovering after a bad fall from a horse. “Oh, yeah, I’m back,” she said. “I’m competing a lot. It’s how you come back that makes you a successful rider.”
Meanwhile, Emilia Bechrakis, who recently married Serhant in Corfu, revealed details. “The day of our wedding was breezy,” she said. “I got very lucky.” Was she a bridezilla? “Oh, there are always stressful times during weddings,” she answered. “I think I did the breaking down for Ryan.”
Serhant offered a less airy version. “Yeah, for her,” he answered. “I was hot in the tux. I screen-shotted all of her verbose text messages to me so that we could laugh about them in the future.”
Meanwhile, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters lunched at 75 Main in Southampton.
Saturday: Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton & Other Celebs Hit Apollo in the Hamptons
Ron Perelman hosted his annual Apollo in the Hamptons bash at The Creeks, his estate on Georgica Pond. Guests were seated at long tables. We spotted Perelman mugging with Jack Nicholson, Benny Medina was on J.Lo’s arm, and one strap from Katie Holmes’ lacy gown was hanging off her shoulder.
Jon Bon Jovi killed it, and Blake Shelton crooned to his girlfriend Gwen Stefani onstage. Pharrell and Stefani also performed, with Gwen belting out “Hollaback Girl,” Lionel Richie sang “Hello,” and Ciara entertained in a dress with broad slits. Perelman, Ciara, Usher, Chris Rock, and Don Johnson also blasted out “All Night Long.”
Earlier that afternoon, Sotheby’s auction house hosted a jewelry event at a house being sold by Sotheby’s International Realty. “This house is on over two acres,” agent Frank Newbold noted, “18,000 square feet, totally private.” Vintage jewelry by eccentric theater designer Tony Duquette was also on view. Frank Evert from the auction house pointed out an “iconic 120-carat aquamarine” ring.
That evening, event planner to the stars Lawrence Scott festooned Michael Bolton’s chic Evening Under the Stars party, which honored Joe Torre.
