The Ceva Family’s Montauk Playlist

May 23, 2012 | Talk of the Town

Year-round Hamptonites and co-owners of Solé East, Cindi and Dave Ceva share a family-friendly guide to their hometown of Montauk.

We are a close-knit family and spend any free time we have together with our three children. There are so many great family activities in Montauk and the Hamptons. But, even when we are working, the children love being at the hotel with us!

Memorial Day Weekend Plans: We will be working! We will, however, sneak in a barbecue pool party with the kids at a friend’s house.

Best Kid-Friendly Restaurants: The Backyard at Solé East and Navy Beach.

East End Family Traditions: In the summer, we love to go out stand-up paddle boarding as a family.

Best Day Camps: Pathfinder Country Day Camp and Kate Tempesta's golf, swimming, and tennis camp at Montauk Downs.

Best Ice Cream Shop: John's Drive-In.

Favorite Outdoor Activities: Too many to choose just one: hiking, biking, swimming, trips to the beach, and boating.

Children’s Birthday Party Idea: Shopping at Captain Kid at Gosman's Dock followed by a beach party at one of Montauk's amazing bay beaches.

Summer Plans: Our favorite thing to do in the summer is spend time as a family, and with close friends—pool parties, dinner parties, and, of course, bonfires at the beach with s'mores!

Family getaway: We love to sneak away for a mid-week trip to Nantucket! The 30-minute flight gets us back in the office [in time] for the Friday crowds.
