With a little help from friends Countess LuAnn de Lesseps and Taylor Dayne, Miracle House will celebrate its 22nd annual Summer Gala at the Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club on Saturday, May 26.
"I started my career as a nurse, so anything that helps people in need is an important cause for me. [Miracle House] is one of my favorite charities to help, and their event is one of the season's most fun nights," said host de Lesseps of the organization, which provides temporary housing, meals, and support to patients receiving treatment in New York, as well as their caregivers.
The evening promises a pop performance by Dayne and a live auction with items like lunch with 30 Rock actor Cheyenne Jackson, a three-night London vacation, and a gourmet dinner by Robbins Wolfe catering. Cocktails will commence at 5 PM and dinner will be served at 8 PM.
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Carl Bernstein and his wife Christine, along with Miracle House board member Jeff Pfeifle, will be honored for their steadfast support of the cause. MSNBC Live anchor Thomas Roberts will join de Lesseps as cohost.
Last year, the event raised more than a half-million dollars for the charity, and this year event chairs Jim and Amy Chanos and Craig Reynolds plan to top that total. Tickets begin at $300. 231 Mid Ocean Dr., Bridgehampton, 212-989-7790 x 12; miraclehouse.org/summerkickoff
