Yoga Gives Pop-Up Studio Returns
August 02, 2012 | Style & Beauty

Now in its second year, Yoga Gives is returning to Southampton this weekend through September 4. This “yoga pop up” is the brainchild of Amanda Taylor, and at first glance appears to be a typical yoga studio. Classes are taught Wednesday through Sunday, and range from the soothing “Slow Flow Vinyasa” to the intense “Sweat Out Your Sins.”
Yet, Yoga Gives is more than just a temporary studio. Each week, Taylor invites a well-known guest instructor, and donates 100% of the revenue from a minimum of two classes to a chosen charity. To truly reach those in need and speak to the yoga community, charity and teacher selections rotate. The goal is for participants to both feel good and do good.
This first weekend will feature Kay Kay Clivio and Tanya Bolton of the popular NYC Pure Yoga studios, and benefit Gilda’s Club, a free support group for those living with cancer. For a list of classes, charities, and upcoming instructors, visit yogagives.com. 85 Jobs Lane, Southampton, 917-558-5155
