Good to the Core: Exhale Spa's Summer Shape Up Retreat

June 14, 2012 | Style & Beauty

As spring (officially) changes over into summer, now is the perfect time to hit refresh on your workout regimen. To help you do just that, Exhale Spa co-founders Elisabeth Halfpapp and Fred DeVito are combining their popular Core Fusion series with other healthy lifestyle practitioners for the three-day Core Fusion Boot Camp: A Bridgehampton Summer Shape Up Retreat ($650). “These retreats include all our Core Fusion class styles so you are able to get the maximum physical and mind-body results,” says Halfpapp of the Summer Shape Up, taking place June 19 through 21. “After all our years of teaching, our students want to experience our detailed teachings in a more intimate training setting.”

In keeping with Exhale Spa’s wellness mantra, the program includes multiple Core Fusion classes as well as acupuncture and nutritional counseling, including a detox from BluePrint Cleanse. The cleanse “is a good moderate detox program that helps to clear the mind and enhance your energy,” says Halfpapp.

However, don’t think you’re committed to 72 hours locked in a studio by registering; much of the program takes place on the beach. “We find it is very important to connect to nature to help give you energy and restore yourself, especially by the ocean,” says Halfpapp, who, along with DeVito will be running a similar retreat in Turks & Caicos this October. “There are positive ions in the ocean air that help rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul.” To register, visit exhalespa.com. 2415 Main St., Bridgehampton, 561-6400
