We Vote For Veuve
July 29, 2010 | East End Eats

There’s something inherently civilized about champagne, which is why it was the drink of choice at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on Governor’s Island this past June. Luckily, the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge is in full swing in the Hamptons, another perfect excuse to fill your flutes with some well-chilled bubbly brut.
Pair your perfect polo hat with that most sparkling of accessories: a glass of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin. (Stand next to the bottle—after all, everything looks better beside that signature Clicquot yellow.) With crisp notes of vanilla and apple, this classic nonvintage champagne stands out in the East End Sparkler cocktail, accented with lemon, vanilla and strawberry.
