Amongst the parade of stunning, petal-covered Victoria’s Secret Angels modeling exceptional lingerie at the brand’s annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, one ensemble easily stole the show—the Floral Fantasy Bra Gift Set. Modeled for the first time by Alessandra Ambrosio, the London Jewelers–designed custom Very Sexy Push-up Bra and matching belt, valued at $2.5 million, was adorned with 5,200 gems including a 20 carat white-diamond centerpiece.

Designing the bra for the second year in a row, “London Jewelers has a vast assortment of beautiful jewelry that is perfect for the Victoria Secret Fashion Show,” says Monica Mitro, Victoria Secret’s executive vice president of brand communications and events and the executive producer of the fashion show, which will air on CBS on December 4. “They also have an amazing team of designers that brings years of gem experience to the design of the Fantasy Bra.”

The official jeweler of the 2011 and 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows, London Jewelers’ president, Candy Udell, and her daughter, vice president Randi Udell-Alper, scoured the world to find the ideal cut of amethysts, sapphires, tsavorites, and rubies as well as white, pink, and yellow diamonds, which were set in 18k rose and yellow gold. “We wanted to make the bra look like a garden with a trellis with flowers and vines,” says Udell. “We had a wonderful nautical theme last year, and we were able to use the pearls and all the other things that came from the sea; this year the inspiration comes from the garden, so the colors are much richer and the texture is different.”

Since first appearing in 1996 as the Million Dollar Fantasy Bra, this is the first year the gem-encrusted creation has come as a gift set, accompanied by the bejeweled belt. Also accompanying the set’s release is the $500,000 Bombshell Fantasy Fragrance, a bottle of Victoria Secret Bombshell eau de parfum (a blend of purple passion fruit, Shangri-la peony, and vanilla orchid) in a gem-encrusted bottle that features a 10 carat white-diamond and hand-carved tourmaline butterfly. “We presented London Jewelers with all six themes to be presented at the fashion show, and they chose to design the Fantasy Bra for the ‘Angels in Bloom’ section,” says Mitro. “I really admire them for their creativity and design integrity.”

One element unique to this year’s design was the removable floral pins and the accompanying bejeweled belt. “Since we took it up a notch with the design and incorporated the belt and the bottle, it was a completely different experience,” says Udell-Alper of the creation process, which took approximately 400 hours by five craftsmen to pour the gold, handset the gems, and create the hand-painted enamel. “We were looking to maximize the color but still make it elegant.”

Ambrosio found out just two weeks after the birth of her son, Noah, in May that she would be wearing the dream creation. “It’s the most amazing bra I have ever seen in my entire life,” the Angel told Good Morning America. “It was like being Cinderella for one night.”

“The Fantasy Bra is the most luxurious bra in the world,” says Mitro of the bra, which will also be featured alongside the matching belt and bottle in the Victoria’s Secret Christmas Dreams & Fantasies catalog. “People everywhere appreciate the diamonds and gems. They are the ultimate fantasy gifts for the woman who has everything.”
