Core Fusion Cardio, a new calorie-burning class that simultaneously sculpts the body, made its national debut in Bridgehampton over Memorial Day weekend. Founded by husband-and-wife team Fred DeVito and Elisabeth Halfpapp, Hamptons residents and originators of the Core Fusion program, it’s “the best way to reshape thighs, gluts, abs and arms while getting a strong cardio workout and burning fat,” says Halfpapp. “The combination of low intensity and long duration is set to a manageable pace, so it’s not intimidating. The movements are simple and the music is upbeat and fun.” Utilizing core balls, weights and mats over an hour-long session, the workout focuses on shoulder isolations, sun salutations, plank runs and pliés. “We wanted to build a cardio class that guests would enjoy while getting the maximum benefit in a safe, aligned orthopedic way and see amazing changes in their bodies,” she says.
