Favorite event: The Junior Jumpers and the Sam Edelman Equitation Class.
What got her started: “Both of my parents ride, my grandparents rode—they have a farm—and all my aunts and uncles and cousins ride.”
On The Hampton Classic: “Everyone kind of goes different ways during the summer—all the horse show people—and then everyone comes to the Hamptons. It’s a special show because the stands are packed; and the VIP pavilion area, you can’t even walk through it.”

Age: 18
Events: 1.40-meter High Junior Jumpers/Amateur Division, Open Jumper Division, including the Grand Prix on Friday. (Hoping to qualify for the Grand Prix on Sunday.)
Favorite event: Junior/Amateur Derby because of the natural obstacles.
What got her started: “My mom loves to ride and loves horses. When she was pregnant with my younger brother she decided if she couldn’t ride then the next best thing would be to watch me ride. So on Mother’s Day when I was four years old, she brought me to the barn for my first lesson. I went to my first show when I was seven years old and from then on I was hooked!”
On The Hampton Classic: “It’s wonderful to have the community come out to support the show and watch you ride. It’s fun to have people watch you, since most of the time the only spectators at my shows are the parents of the riders! It’s also fun to be in the Hamptons with the beaches, restaurants and stores. Being a native New Yorker, it is a great opportunity for me to invite some of my non-horsey friends who spend time in the Hamptons to watch me compete.”
