Gina Bradley
Two summers ago, Gina Bradley found herself frustrated with the male-dominated nature of stand-up paddle-boarding (SUP). So she decided to do something about it by launching Paddle Diva. Bradley and her team have been offering women the serene—and effective—workout ever since. “I made it my mission to make SUP accessible to all women, no matter their age, size or ability,” she says. “I knew that if taught the correct paddle stroke and stance on a board, women would most certainly feel empowered and fall in love with SUP.” An ace core strengthener (and carver of enviable abs), SUP works the entire body. Paddle Diva, based in East Hampton, offers 90-minute lessons and tours on waterways throughout the East End. Enthusiasts cannot get enough, and given Bradley’s infectious attitude toward her sport, the ranks will grow. If a woman leaves feeling so great about herself and what she has accomplished on the water that she wants to return, Bradley says, “then I have done my job.” 516-383-2296
