I always love this time of year. With Memorial Day behind us, we enter into the time when the days are the longest and we excitedly anticipate enjoying the summer months ahead. Our beautiful natural environment has made the Hamptons one of the most desirable places to visit and live, and we want to keep it that way for a long time to come. We have a number of organizations that support and protect our environment including Peconic Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy, and Group for the East End, which we feature in this issue’s “Spirit of Generosity” on page 62. We started our summer season with Today show host and Hamptons resident Matt Lauer on the cover. With Matt’s support and encouragement, we are reinforcing the need to keep our roads and land clean and free from garbage and debris.
