Now is the time to gear up and head out to Two Trees Farm for the 16th season of the Bridgehampton Polo Challenge, for what promises to be one of the most exciting summers of polo I can remember. The sport of kings remains a touchstone of the Hamptons and one of the summer’s signature events. In years past it had become secondary to the social scene surrounding it, but this year Peter Brant and Nacho Figueras are committed to bringing the afternoon back to basics—the simple beauty of playing and watching the game.

I am also proud that Hamptons is participating in another signature event of the East End, The Big Bang: The 19th Annual Watermill Center Summer Benefit, on July 28. This event supports The Watermill Center and its prestigious international summer program, which boasts participants from more than 25 countries. Created by visionary playwright and director Robert Wilson, The Watermill Center provides an environment that helps to facilitate and inspire emerging and established artists in their creative endeavors. The event will have artwork and performances on display across its stunning eight-acre campus.

I believe that our community has the finest of everything: the best places to dine and shop, the most pristine beaches and bays, the best farm-to-table resources, and, of course, a multitude of opportunities to be philanthropic.
