After a long day of shopping and sightseeing in the summer sun, you need a delectable meal made from the varied local ingredients. Head over to The Frisky Oyster for Pipes Cove Oysters Friskafella—local oysters prepared with garlic-scented spinach, chipotle and parmigiano aioli. Next, try the pan-roasted local striped bass over a North Fork baby vegetable salad with dijon vinaigrette. Craving something sweet? The local peach and blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream is bursting with flavor. The best part: You can pair the entire meal with local wines from the North Fork. 27 Front St., Greenport, 477-4265

Located in a historic 1880s homestead on the Shinn Estate Vineyards, the Shinn Estate Farmhouse bed-and-breakfast is the ideal place to rest your weary head after a day of tastings along the North Fork. The guest rooms are elegant and well appointed, with views of the surrounding vineyards and the flourishing farmscape. Breakfast is served daily in the historic dining room, which overlooks the vineyards; if you are lucky, chef David Page might prepare sunny-side-up duck eggs with asparagus risotto and maple-smoked bacon, all with steaming coffee, freshly squeezed juices and scones hot from the oven. 2000 Oregon Road, Mattituck, 804-0367
Lieb Family Cellars has been growing grapes on the North Fork since 1992, and today the vineyard comprises 50 acres of quality vines. Lieb produces a Reserve line of cellar-worthy wines, including Reserve Pinot Blanc and Reserve Chardonnay, as well as the “Bridge Lane” line of wines like the Bridge Lane rosé and Bridge Lane Cabernet Franc. Stop by the vineyard for a tasting, or visit on September 17 for the last of Food & Wine’s Harvest Wine Salons. 35 Cox Neck Road, Mattituck, 298-1942
