DID YOU KNOW
Bridgehampton was settled in 1656, when Josiah Stanborough built his homestead by Sagg Pond. But it wasn’t until 1870 that the Long Island Rail Road connected visitors and new residents to the village.
The Bridgehampton Monument was unveiled on July 4, 1910, during the hamlet’s 250th anniversary celebration.
