Sipping cocktails amid the extravagance of the Riviera while watching an afternoon fashion show seems miles from the laid-back aesthetic of the Hamptons. But on July 30, several prestigious Hamptonites created that scene, at a ladies luncheon cohosted by Suzy Biszantz of La Perla at the prestigious Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club.

Models showcased printed swimwear from La Perla’s East Hampton boutique and jewelry from Fred Leighton. “We wanted to create exciting looks that evoked the timeless glamour of the Italian and French Riviera,” said Greg Kwiat, CEO of the luxury jewelry brand.

Event planner and designer David Stark complemented the beachside setting by dressing tables in a white eyelet fabric enhanced with a glimmering display of glass cylinders filled with lilies and beach grasses. “I like to revisit all of the standards of a party and reinvent,” said Stark. “Why do anything standard?”

Guests mingled on the deck and enjoyed La Marca prosecco before being treated to an elegant spread from Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs. Following the meal, guests cooled off with Xanté ice pops and O.N.E. coconut water. A decadent tasting plate of desserts provided just enough sugar to spark the end of a beautiful afternoon by the beach—or, as Biszantz put it, “an excellent way to enjoy an afternoon in the Hamptons.”
