ENZO LENTINI RECENTLY SOLD his popular Manhattan restaurant, Opus, to focus on a new venture: Lentini Special Events. He runs the private catering company along with his brother, Giuseppe, specializing in elegant celebrations of all sizes in New York and the Hamptons.
Aside from limiting the guest list to only the significant people in your life, the restaurateur suggests always seating singles either next to or directly across from each other so they can have eye contact—encouraging conversation (and maybe more). Fashioning the night after an unusual theme is also a great way to get people talking.
While the brothers are known primarily for their traditional Tuscanstyle and gluten-free meals, Lentini says not to skimp on whatever you serve. “The smaller the party, the better quality the food and wine should be,” he says. lentinispecialevents.com.
