As guests finished their hors d’oeuvres and headed into the tent, they were awed by the endless shades of crimson that adorned the space; accented with gold china and chairs, it was as if the tail end of a sunset had settled atop their banquet tables. “Everyone’s breath was taken away,” says Abas. After a coursed feast by Great Performances and more Wölffer wine came the speeches, one of the night’s most memorable interludes. “My husband’s 92-year-old grandfather made a speech,” Wölffer recalls. “He had everyone quiet down, and said he wouldn’t speak until they were silent.”

“There was not a dry eye in the room,” Abas echoes. “There were more tears than I have seen at any wedding because of the immense love you feel between the two of them. It is like best friends, like a guy carrying books across campus for the girl he loves. It is just beautiful.”

Since the wedding, Wölffer has been busily preparing for the launch of thestyleliner.com’s e-commerce site as well as her collaboration with Roark NY, called Isla for Roark—a line of beautifully eclectic, Indian- and Moroccan-inspired handbags, debuting at the Hampton Classic Horse Show. However, her greatest anticipation is the couple’s September honeymoon to Greece, including a tour of Athens with some of her Styliner designers and then island hopping. “We’re a very good balance,” says Wölffer of the two of them. “I’m the irrational, creative one. He’s very centered and intelligent and grounds me. After all, there can only be one truck driver in the family.”
